El Hierro, hike and dive
Who is it for?
Aimed at fans of local culture, geology, history and nature who want an organized trip combining guided hiking and dives with the freedom to discover the island “at your own pace”… You will have a rental car to follow exploring El Hierro when the daily activities are over and you can choose between different types of accommodation.

Itinerary
Arrival at the airport / port, welcome, rental car delivery and transfer to the apartments.
Mirador de Jinama – San Andrés – El Garoe – Valverde
12 km, +150 -650, 4 hours
Past, present and future of water in the island of El Hierro … walking from the Mirador de Jinama, by the “Earth that sounds”, to San Andrés … then passing the Garoé and its water tanks, the Valverde forest … ending up in the Capital.

Sabinosa – Basco viewpoint – El Sabinar – Lomo Negro viewpoint
9 km, +550 -500, 4 hours
Junipers with incredible forms shaped by the Trade Winds … walking from Sabinosa, passing by the enchanted forest of Las Sabinas, the Mirador de Bascos … till the arrival at the Lomo Negro viewpoint.

El Pinar – El Morcillo – El Pinar
11 km, +300 -300, 4 hours
From the Tanajara Viewpoint overlooking the village of El Pinar, crossing the southern vineyards, we will go into the Canary Pine forest that dominates the southern slope of the island. This pine forest will reveal to us the link it has with the volcanic terrain, surprising us with what it hides in its heart and with exciting views from the highest points of our route.

Afternoon at your leisure …
Departure with the boat from the port of La Restinga: first dive, rest and refreshment is normally carried out on the boat (although we can return to port), sailing to the next point of immersion, reaching La Restinga at 1 pm. There are 24 immersion points, 12 located inside the marine reserve of La Restinga and another 12 points located in the limits of the same, all of them with great landscaping interest and animal life, with its peculiarities that make of El Hierro a destination so visited by divers.

Total Distance:about 32 km
Trails: rocky and loose volcanic materials sections; dirt tracks.
Diving: dives are chosen according to certification and experience.
Material Required
For the hiking activities it is recommended to wear suitable clothing (in layers, to protect our body from possible inclement weather and keep it dry at all times by combining three different types of clothing), comfortable and strong boots, raincoat, fine and / or thick pile (depending on the season), hat, backpack, trekking sticks, waterbottle, sun cream, sunglasses, camera.
For the diving, air cylinder and weights are included; It is possible to rent the complete equipment with a supplement.
